City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1027 The Middletown Fire Department is a combination paid / volunteer department. There are seven companies within the department. We have four pumpers, two trucks, and one rescue/pumper. There are three stations, Central, North street, and Waalkill. We have four groups that rotate through a 24 on 72 off system. Each group has a group leader who is responsible for the day to day operations of the professional staff. This is a brief synopsis of the department and I will have more soon!
